Island Work Transitions Inc., operates the Alberni Valley Employment Centre in Ucluelet &Tofino.

Our services include free assistance and support for job seekers and employers on the west coast. In our self-serve resource area job seekers can update their resume, apply for jobs online, or use our printer, scanner, photocopier or fax machine.

There are also job search and job start supports available for eligible unemployed clients who need help looking for work or to get started in a new job. Ask one of our Resource Centre Advisors about available personal supports and services. Depending on eligibility, these include one-on-one employment counselling, group workshops, training supports, skills assessments, wage subsidy, self-employment services, and customized job placement.

Employers too, are welcome to take advantage of job posting services, hiring fairs, and other resources to help employers find and keep their workforce.

Location 1 – Our Ucluelet location is just off the main road as you drive into the centre of town, in the building with the big red roof at the corner of Peninsula and Bay Streets.
