Budget Process 2024
In accordance with the Community Charter a Municipality must adopt a Five-Year Financial Plan and Tax Rates bylaw by May 15th every year. Annually the town updates the financial plan balancing the changing needs and priorities within the community.
District of Ucluelet 2024 - 2028 Financial Plan Amendment Bylaw
On July 30th, 2024, Council amended the District of Ucluelet 2024 - 2028 Five-Year Financial Plan to incorporate a $2.5 million dollar paving grant and correct tabulation errors. There are no tax implications associated with the amendment.

May 14, 2024 Regular Council Meeting
On Tuesday May 14, 2024 at the Council meeting, Council adopted the 2024-2028 Financial Plan and Tax Rate Bylaws hereby concluding the 2024 budget process.
April 30, 2024 Regular Council Meeting
On Tuesday April 30, 2024 at the Council meeting, Jeff Cadman, Director of Finance presented the 2024-2028 Financial Plan and the Annual Tax Rate Bylaws. Council gave the first three readings of the bylaws.
April 16, 2024 Special Council Meeting – Budget
On Tuesday April 16, 2024 at the Council meeting, Jeff Cadman, Director of Finance presented the 2024 Revised Potential Property Tax Impacts to Council. An overview of core revenue and expenses, and a capital project summary was also provided. Council pre-authorized the 2024 budget expenditures. Council also directed staff to prepare both the 2024-2028 Five Year Financial Plan, and 2024 Tax Rates Bylaws.

January 8, 2024 Special Council Meeting – Budget
On January 8, 2024 at the Special Council meeting, Duane Lawrence, CAO & Acting Chief Financial Officer presented the proposed municipal operating and capital budgets (Five Year Financial Plan) for 2024 – 2028. This included a review of ongoing and proposed projects.

On Thursday April 13, 2023 at the Special Council meeting, Donna Monteith, Chief Financial Officer presented the 2023 Revised Potential Property Tax Impacts to Council. March 7, 2023 Budget Open House
On Tuesday, March 7, 2023 a public open house for the District of Ucluelet's 2023 Budget was held at the Ucluelet Community Centre from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Public questions and input may be sent to communityinput@ucluelet.ca until March 27, 2023.

February 23, 2023 Special Council Meeting – Budget
On Thursday, February 23, 2023 at the Special Council meeting, Donna Monteith, Chief Financial Officer provided a review of the Operational and Capital budgets with revisions. An overview of property assessments, and property tax impacts using examples was provided.
